Grace Investment Machine has closed a US$20 million Series A financing, co-led by a leading US venture capital firm and Hony Capital, with participation from IDG Capital and existing investor Monolith Capital. It is GIM’s third funding round within its first year.
The new capital will support the next stage of live validation for GIM’s agentic investment systems across multiple asset classes and markets.
From research assistance to live execution
GIM is building Visionary Machine: AI systems that generate, test, and refine investment hypotheses through market data, structured feedback loops, and coordinated agents. Capital markets provide a continuous cycle from hypothesis to action to measurable feedback, creating a demanding environment for evaluating whether autonomous research systems can improve over time.
The aim is to move investment AI beyond information assistance toward systems capable of forming hypotheses, evaluating signals, learning from real-world outcomes, and operating within clear risk and accountability boundaries.
Building the research system
GIM’s work advances along two connected fronts: capital-market foundation models and multi-agent systems that generate, validate, and evolve investment signals.
CogAlpha, GIM’s agent-based investment research system, uses a layered architecture to automate idea generation, factor construction, testing, and iterative improvement. The related research was accepted to the ACL 2026 main conference with an Oral recommendation.
Shared prosperity
The financing also supports GIM’s broader vision of shared prosperity: building self-evolving investment intelligence whose benefits can be held more broadly rather than concentrated in a small number of institutions.
As the systems move into live-market validation, GIM will continue to prioritize measurable evidence, disciplined governance, and accountable human oversight.
